Salsa in Deutsch - Rhytms Del Mundo
YES, they dit it!!! 36 degrees celcius and it is getting hotter ... The current German Pop-Elite spent their holidays in Cuba ... and in this time they spiced up their own hits with conga, horn sections and clave. It's a great experiment, from which really nice versions of the songs have been arised - e. g. 2Raumwohnung, Ich+Ich, Fantastischen4, Rosenstolz, Silbermond und Xavier Naidoo. The best from all is Culcha Cundela: Hamma!

Alex Wilson - Inglaterra
Awesome Salsa CD from the British Salsa pianist »Alex Wilson. Because of its musical diversity, this CD catches our ears. The CD contains several hits in different Salsa styles - e. g. Ethno-Salsa sung in Hini ("Oh, Kuri"), a born-and-bred Timba ("Pega' En Inglaterra") - which causes powerful furore on the Salsa dance floor - or the Guaguanco "Inglaterra". The absolute highlight on this CD is the Salsa-Hit "Ain't nobody" - a Salsa cover version of the Chaka Khan Hit from 1983 - "Ain't nobody" was in Berlin the summer hit in 2007!

Gloria Estefan - 90 Millas
There are only 90 miles from Miami (where »Gloria Estefan lives) to Havana. You can hear her Cuban roots (Son Cubano!) on this album. As Gloria's first Salsa album "Mi Tierra" was a homage to the forties and fifties, we hear on this album modern arranged Salsa with an amazing diversity of rhythms - including her great Salsa voice and many prominent guest musicians. Absolutely great! Tip for listen to the samples: "Caridad"

Sampler (3 CDs) - Beginners Guide to Salsa
Do not be frightened of the CD title: songs for beginners are on the first of the three (!) CDs . The tempo in this songs is rather leisurely.
